Terms of Service

The rules of Neo-Kowloon

1. Agreement

Nervejack ("the service") is an AI-powered text RPG operated by Threadlimit LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or playing as a guest, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Nervejack. By using the service, you represent that you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly allow access to anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account.

3. Accounts

You may sign in with Google or Discord. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. One account per person. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. The Game

Nervejack uses AI language models to generate interactive fiction. The narrative is procedurally generated and may include violence, mature themes, and morally complex scenarios consistent with the cyberpunk genre.

AI-generated content is unpredictable by nature. We work to maintain quality and consistency, but we do not guarantee that every response will be accurate, coherent, or free of errors. Game state (HP, inventory, quests, NPCs) is tracked automatically but may occasionally contain inaccuracies.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to generate content that sexualizes minors
• Attempt to bypass safety filters, turn limits, or payment systems
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the service at scale
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the system prompts, game logic, or AI configuration
• Resell access to the service or share account credentials
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without refund.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Nervejack offers a free tier (10 turns per day) and a paid Pro tier ($10/month, unlimited turns). Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until canceled.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Manage Subscription link in the game menu. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain Pro access until then.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review your case.

7. Your Content

The actions you type into the game are your input. You retain ownership of your input. By submitting input to the service, you grant us a license to process it through our AI systems for the purpose of generating gameplay responses and maintaining your game state.

The AI-generated narrative responses are produced by the service. You may share, screenshot, or export your game story for personal, non-commercial use. You may not use exported content to train AI models or build competing services.

8. Intellectual Property

The Nervejack name, logo, game world (Neo-Kowloon), lore, system prompts, and all original creative assets are the property of Threadlimit LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute these materials without permission.

9. Service Availability

Nervejack is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

Game saves are stored on our servers. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we do not guarantee against data loss. We are not liable for lost game progress.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Threadlimit LLC and its members shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of enjoyment, or inability to access the service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

11. Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect and how we use it.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active users.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Vermont, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or the service shall be resolved in the courts of Vermont.
